Research in Baxter Park

- Research In The Park
Research is allowed in Baxter State Park under strict guidelines designed to protect the wilderness environment.
To date, numerous research projects have been successfully conducted in the Park. Proposed research is administered through the Park's Information and Education department by the Park Naturalist. The Naturalist acts as a liaison between researchers and the Park, forwarding proposals to the Park's Research Committee for their recommendations to the Park Director and Authority. Research applications should be submitted at least 6 months prior to the expected start date.
