Baxter State Park's Student Conservation Association (SCA) Conservation Intern Postions

Assistant Naturalists:       1 position   June through October

Trail Crew:
      Summer Crew:  12 positions  mid-May to mid-August
      Fall Crew:           6 positions  mid-August to November

          In 1982, Baxter State Park and the Student Conservation Association began working together to provide college interns the opportunity to develop skills in resource management within the shadows of Katahdin.  Since that time, over two hundred young people have assisted park managers in trail maintenance, information and education programs and public safety. 
          SCA Interns are provided training, housing, a living stipend and the experience to live and work in one of our nation’s most beautiful wilderness parks.  To find out more information about the SCA, please visit their website  www.thesca.org
